My Views On Therapy
I see therapy as creating a safe atmosphere to explore avenues to make changes in your life. We will talk about your presenting problems as well as other life experiences that may add to your current distress.
You and I will be part of a team, working together to help you gain insight, and then put that insight to use in your life. I, as a therapist, will offer feedback, empathetic listening, guidance, unbiased support, and a link for other resources as needed.
Goals of Therapy
The main goal of therapy is to allow healing to take place, helping you to become “unstuck” and well as providing a way for you to move on with your life.
In many cases, guilt, shame, illness or other hurts may be the cause for you seeking help. Together we will attempt to remove those stumbling blocks, thereby allowing growth and healing to occur.
I firmly believe that happiness and healing come only from God and I would invite him to every session.
Sessions are typically 45-50 minutes in length. The initial or Intake session is $150. Subsequent sessions are $105. A sliding fee may also be arranged if needed. Checks, cash or credit cards accepted (Visa and Mastercard). I also am a provider on many Employee Assistance Plans.
Most insurance plans accepted. Eastman Counseling is a Preferred Provider on most insurance panels. Please contact your insurance directly to ask about pre-authorization and/or benefits. Services will be billed for you. Insurance can be billed directly if you prefer.
